When selecting/adding new Artists, Composers, Performers, Publishers or Labels using 'Add Item' - you will notice this process has now been updated. You can now fill out details for New Contacts OR Modify Existing Contacts OR Create an 'Alias' from an existing Contact.
New Contacts
'Add Item' will now generate a pop-up allowing you to fill out more basic information Contact info as well as attaching more Contact/Company Types to the new Contact.
For each Contact/Company Type listed above, you will notice an additional bespoke section where Contact/Company Type specific details (e.g 'Label Details', Artist Details' etc) can be entered.
You can fill in as much information as you wish at this stage and/or add more details later in the Contacts area once the Contact/Company has been created.
Modify Existing Contacts/Create an Alias
'Add Item' will now also allow you to select/load an existing Contact, fill out more basic information Contact info, as well as attaching more Contact/Company Types to add to the existing Contact/Company.
Doing this will firstly allow you to add a different Contact/Company Type to an existing Contact & to add to the data already contained in this section, including into the 'Details' sections.
Secondly, you will also be able to select/load an existing Contact with the same Contact Type and then create an Alias. This feature is intended for when the person has for example, multiple Artist Names or Composer/Performer Names and the intention is to have one main Contact with each Linked Alias acting as a sub-Contact.
